There are a few different ways that dentists can bleach your teeth. These are separated into external strategies ( where the bleach is placed on the outside of the tooth ) and internal methods ( where the bleach is placed inside the tooth ).

External Tooth White bleaching

This means that the colour of the teeth is lightened by placing a Tooth White bleaching gel on the outer ( external ) surfaces of the teeth. Your dentist will give you tubes of Tooth White bleaching gel and instructions on a way to put the gel in the mouth trays. You will need to wear the mouth trays for no less than a couple of hours each day. It might take a couple of weeks to attain the color that you want. Your dentist will give you complete instructions.
* In the dental surgery -”power” or “laser” Tooth White bleaching. Your dentist may put a rubber seal around your teeth to guard your gums depending on concentration of Tooth White bleaching agent used. Then, the Tooth White bleaching gel is placed onto your teeth and a special, intense light is used. This light enhances the bleaching process. The appointment may take between one to two hours.
* Combined Tooth White bleaching – this may also be known as “power” Tooth White bleaching – both the home and surgery Tooth White bleaching are utilized in combination to obtain the specified result. The home Tooth White bleaching stage may occur before or after the operation treatment – this depends on the kind of product used. Your dentist will give you instructions.

Internal Tooth White bleaching

this implies that the colour of a tooth is lightened by placing a Tooth White bleaching product within the tooth. Internal Tooth White bleaching can only be done on teeth that have been successfully root treated. This suggests that the arteries and nerves within the tooth have been replaced with a rubber filling.

To bleach a tooth in this manner, the dentist will drill a hole and put the Tooth White bleaching product into it ( if it’s’s a front tooth, the hole will be on the back so that you can’t see it ). If you’re satisfied with the new shade, your dentist will fill the hole with a tooth colored filling. Occasionally, the color doesn’t lighten enough, and the method needs to be repeated. Sometimes, internal Tooth White bleaching needs to be mixed with other whitening strategies to attain the specified effect.
